The Tex Avery Project was a fun exercise in brand expansion and merch building using a well-known legacy IP. Growing up, I was a huge fan of these cartoons and while some of the content might not strictly fit today’s standards, I’ve always loved the sheer comedy and irony baked into the storylines.
The goal here was to take an existing brand and see how far I could stretch it into a modern merch collection. I spent a lot of time illustrating these characters, focusing on capturing that high-energy, “rubbery” animation style that made the original shorts so iconic. It was a blast to step back into that world and explore how to translate that vintage character energy into a cohesive, tangible product line.
