The Nerdy Turtles Game Board and Box was a passion project where I got to build an entirely new tabletop concept from scratch. The idea was simple but quirky: a group of turtles who can’t help but be their nerdy selves, competing to see who can rack up the most “cool points” while navigating a board filled with obstacles designed to trip them up.
From a design perspective, this was a great exercise in world-building. I had to ensure the board’s layout felt intuitive for the player’s journey while using the packaging to set the tone for the game’s humor and personality. It was a blast to step outside of client constraints and focus on character-driven illustration, creating a cohesive, tactile experience that’s all about embracing your inner nerd.
